Achievements of 2025 – SAMS Institute | Syria
In 2025, the SAMS Institute continued to play a vital role in strengthening medical education and building healthcare capacity across Syria. In close collaboration with the Syrian Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Higher Education, the Institute reaffirmed its commitment to placing people and knowledge at the heart of a resilient and sustainable healthcare system.
Through integrated academic, clinical, and vocational programs, SAMS Institute focused on empowering healthcare professionals and addressing critical workforce gaps inside Syria.

Simulation Lab Center
Throughout 2025, the Simulation Lab Center delivered dozens of advanced training courses across Syria, reaching more than 1,000 healthcare professionals. These programs significantly enhanced clinical skills and patient safety by applying modern, evidence-based simulation methodologies aligned with international educational standards.
Graduate Medical Education (GME) Programs
The Institute continued to support residency and fellowship programs in coordination with academic and health authorities. Hundreds of physicians participated in these programs, benefiting from hundreds of specialized lectures in key disciplines, including pathology, nephrology, and cardiology. These efforts contributed to strengthening specialized medical services and improving healthcare outcomes.
Continuing Medical Education (CME)
SAMS Medical Education delivered extensive CME activities covering 12 medical specialties. Hundreds of scientific lectures were conducted inside Syria, with a particular focus on neurology, hematology, and pediatrics—ensuring healthcare professionals remain aligned with evolving medical standards and practices.
Student Scholarship Program
Believing in education as a foundation for sustainable health systems, the Institute supported dozens of students in medical, health, and social sciences. Implemented in partnership with educational institutions, the scholarship program continues to invest in future healthcare leaders committed to serving their communities.
Medical Technical Institute
The SAMS Medical Technical Institute graduated skilled professionals in nursing, intensive care, and midwifery. These graduates are now contributing directly to closing critical workforce gaps and strengthening frontline healthcare services across Syria.
Academic Hospital
The academic hospital provided a multidisciplinary training and working environment for medical, nursing, and technical staff. By integrating education with hands-on clinical practice, the hospital served as a vital platform for professional development and applied learning.
