Supervisory Training Visit to SAMS Autism Academy in Damascus as Part of the January 2026 Mission
As part of the January 2026 medical mission implemented in Syria by the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS), Ms. Sara Muhaini, a trainee in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), conducted a field and supervisory training visit under the supervision and organization of the SAMS Institute for Medical Education to the SAMS Autism Academy in Damascus, in the presence of Mr. Abdel Nasser Kiki, the Center Director.
The visit included an introductory tour of the academy’s departments, reviewing operational workflows and the daily responsibilities of the staff in delivering therapeutic and rehabilitation services to children. It also featured interactive discussions and scientific guidance sessions in Applied Behavior Analysis, aimed at enhancing professional competencies and strengthening practical expertise in working with children with autism spectrum disorder.
This initiative reflects SAMS’ continued commitment to supporting specialized services and improving the quality of care provided to vulnerable communities through ongoing professional training and supervision.
