SAMS Participates in the Annual Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Latakia
The Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) participated in the first day of the “Annual Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Human Medicine” at the University of Latakia, within the conference’s medical education track, attended by a distinguished group of physicians, academics, and researchers.
During the session, Dr. Bashir Tajeddin, Director of Health Systems Strengthening and Sustainability at SAMS, delivered a lecture entitled “Integrated Quality Management in Medical Education.” The lecture highlighted the importance of advancing medical education systems according to modern quality standards, as well as the role of continuous planning and evaluation in enhancing educational outcomes and preparing medical professionals capable of meeting scientific, professional, and healthcare system needs.
Dr. Tajeddin also emphasized the importance of investing in medical education as a cornerstone for strengthening the healthcare sector, highlighting the ongoing efforts of the SAMS Institute for Medical Education in supporting medical education and training through its academic and professional development programs.
This participation reflects SAMS’ commitment to fostering academic collaboration and scientific knowledge exchange in support of the future of medical education and healthcare development in Syria.
