Conclusion of the First Scientific Conference for Nephrology Residents in Syria
Organized by SAMS Institute in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Aleppo, and under the supervision of a distinguished group of specialist physicians and professors from Syria and the United States, the first scientific conference for nephrology residents concluded as part of the SAMS medical mission for November 2025.
Held at Ibn Al-Bitar Hall at the Faculty of Medicine, the conference is considered the first of its kind in Syria. It was based on an innovative educational methodology that actively engages medical residents in the learning process, where each resident delivers a lecture to their peers while also attending other sessions within an interactive environment that fosters scientific discussion and exchange, under the direct supervision of nephrology specialists and experts.
This conference represents a high-quality educational platform that strengthens the role of residents in active learning and interactive teaching, and contributes to promoting a culture of continuous medical education, in line with ongoing scientific advancements in the field of nephrology.
