Scientific Lecture on Updates in Acute Coronary Syndrome Management Held in Deir Ezzor
During the January 2026 Medical Mission of the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) in Syria, SAMS Institute organized a specialized scientific lecture in Deir Ezzor entitled “Updates in the Management of Acute Coronary Syndrome.” The activity was conducted as part of SAMS’ ongoing efforts to support continuing medical education and strengthen the clinical capacity of healthcare professionals.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Mulham Al-Deiri, a cardiology specialist based in the United States, who presented the latest international guidelines and evidence-based clinical practices for the diagnosis and management of acute coronary syndrome. The session highlighted early intervention strategies and best clinical approaches aimed at improving patient outcomes and reducing complications.
The lecture targeted cardiology specialists and residents, in addition to medical students, and featured strong scientific engagement and in-depth discussions that reflected participants’ interest in updating their clinical knowledge in line with current medical standards.
This activity forms part of SAMS’ broader educational initiatives under the January medical mission, with additional medical training and educational programs continuing across multiple Syrian governorates, reinforcing SAMS’ commitment to sustainable healthcare development in Syria.
